Redesigning the website of AviaTraffic Company.

Date: September 2021
Location: Istanbul, Turkiye
Tools: Figma, Photoshop

Overview

This project is a complete website redesign for AviaTraffic Company, an airline based in Kyrgyzstan. The objective was to modernize the user experience, simplify the booking process, and present a more vibrant, user-friendly interface that reflects the company’s ambition to connect Central Asia with the world.

2. Problem & Opportunity

The existing website (www.aero.kg) lacked a clean hierarchy, visual appeal, and a clear booking flow.

My goal was to:
- Redesign the homepage with a modern layout and updated aesthetics
- Simplify the flight search process
- Highlight key destinations and promotional offers
- Introduce a visual identity aligned with aviation, travel, and Central Asian spirit
- Improve accessibility and responsiveness for all device types

3. Design Process

I began by analyzing the current site and identifying pain points in structure and usability. My redesign focuses on these key areas:
- Booking Flow: Simplified one-way/return toggle, intuitive form inputs, and clear call-to-action.
- Destination Highlights: A visually engaging grid layout to promote popular routes with pricing.
- Loyalty & Services: Dedicated section for the “ATC Club” and icons for additional services.
- Branding: A fresh visual identity combining aviation imagery, bold CTAs, and a clean sans-serif type system.
- Mobile Optimization: Designed with responsiveness and readability across devices in mind.

4. Project Outcomes

The result is a bold, clear, and user-centered homepage that improves brand trust and usability. The new design brings the airline’s mission, “We are bridging the Central Asia”, to life with better structure, improved UX, and a modern design language.

This redesign makes it easier for users to search flights, explore deals, and engage with services like the ATC Club — while enhancing the overall digital brand of AviaTraffic Company.
